What changes are we making to the Optus Business Builder offer?

 

From 31 March 2018, the Business Builder offer will no longer be available when you add or upgrade services on your account.

There are no changes to existing Business Builder services, so you’ll still be able to continue enjoying your discounts for the length of the contract. However, if you want to take advantage of the Business Builder discount, you’ll need to do so before 31 March 2018.

Why are we making changes to the Optus Business Builder offer?

 

We’re always looking at ways we can improve our business products. That’s why we recently updated our business mobile plans to give you great inclusions with real value for money.

 

We understand that some of our existing customers might like to continue growing their Business Builder discount instead of taking up a new plan. So with that in mind, we’re giving you the choice of whether you’d like to take advantage of the Business Builder discount or add/upgrade your services to one of our new business plans.

 

What do you need to do?

 

I’m an existing Optus business customer with one eligible service

Ts & Cs

 

Available to new and existing customers who sign up to, or upgrade (recontract), two or more new My Plan Business (excluding Tech Fund), My Plan Business SIM or Mobile Broadband Business plans in market from between 5 September 2016 and 22 October 2017. Existing eligible customers can add additional services to grow their discount between 23 October 2017 and 31 March 2018. Eligible services must be added under one account. Discount will appear from the second bill after activation of each eligible service. Discount is dependent on the eligible number of services and the plan access fee the customer has on the bill cycle processing date. Discount will be forfeited or reduced if services are cancelled or removed from account. Once discount has been applied for a period of 24 months, Optus has the right to remove the discount without notice. Discount is not available on plans that were activated prior to 5 September 2016 or after 22 October 2017. Not available in conjunction with any other offer unless specified.

What is the Business Builder offer?

 

The Business Builder offer allows existing eligible customers who connect two or more eligible plans to their Business account to save on the plan access fees.

  • Connect 2 eligible services and receive a 5% discount
  • Connect 3 eligible services and receive 10% discount
  • Connect 4- 9 eligible services and receive a 15% discount
  • Connect 10 or more eligible services and receive a 20% discount


You can receive up to a maximum 20% discount per account and the discount is only available on plan access fees.

 

I am already receiving a Business Builder discount will I continue to receive it after 31 March 2018?

 

Yes, if you already receive a Business Builder discount you will continue to receive it for the length of your contract. If you change plan, upgrade or cancel one of your eligible plans your discount will be reduced or forfeited.

 

I received a SMS, email or letter about changes to Optus Business Builder but don’t currently get the discount. Why did you contact me?

 

You received a communication from Optus because you have at least one service on your account on an eligible plan. If you only have one eligible plan you don’t currently receive a discount, but if you want to add new services on an eligible plan you can start receiving a discount.

 

  • Connect 2 eligible services and receive a 5% discount
  • Connect 3 eligible services and receive 10% discount
  • Connect 4- 9 eligible services and receive a 15% discount
  • Connect 10 or more eligible services and receive a 20% discount

How long do I have to add a service or upgrade to extend my Business Builder discount?

 

If you have received an SMS, email or letter from us you have until the 31 March 2018 to add a new service or upgrade to an eligible plan.

 

I’m an existing customer, how do I add or upgrade a service to take advantage of the Business Builder discount before 31 March?

 

If you’re an existing customer with an eligible plan who would like to add or upgrade a service to start or grow your Business Builder discount, you can do so in the following ways:

Can I apply the Business Builder discount to my existing business service?

 

No. The discount will only apply to the plan fees on a new or upgraded eligible Business service that you have added to your account after 5 September 2016. If Optus has contacted you about changes to the Business Builder offer, that means you already have at least one service on an eligible plan on your account. Please chat to us or call us on 1800 502 109 to find out more or add new services to receive this discount.

 

Is there a maximum number of services that this offer applies to?

 

No. It’s a minimum of 2 eligible services to receive a 5% discount and the maximum discount is 20% of the plan access fees when you buy 10 or more eligible services.

 

What plans are eligible for the Business Builder offer?

 

Below you’ll find the plans that are eligible for the Business Builder offer – please be aware that these are older plans that were available to business customers before 23 October 2017. Our new business plans that were launched after 23 October 2017 are not eligible for the Business Builder offer.

Is there a difference between your new business plans and the plans that are eligible for the Business Builder discount?

 

Yes, on 23 October 2017, we updated our business plans. These new plans are not available for the Business Builder offer. You can check out our new business plans here.

I didn’t receive an SMS, email or letter from Optus and I don’t have an eligible plan already, can I get the Optus Business Builder Discount?

 

No, only customers that have been contacted by Optus about changes to Optus Business Builder can add or upgrade services and receive the discount. The Optus Business Builder offer was withdrawn on 23 October 2017 for new customers. Our current mobile business plans can be found here.

 

I’m a new customer, can I sign up to the Business Builder offer?

 

No, the Business Builder offer is only available to existing customers that already receive a discount or have an eligible plan on their account.

 

When can I call the 1800 502 109 number?

 

The operating hours and days for 1800 502 109 are:

 

Mon - Fri: 8am – 9pm AEST
