This competition is now closed. Thank you so much to all those who entered! Entries are being judged and a winner will be announced soon.

We can’t thank you enough for helping us reach 300,000 Yes Crowders.. but we’ll give it a crack. To celebrate Yes Crowd and all our incredible members, we’re giving away a Google Home device!

Google Home is a voice-activated speaker that acts as your personal, hands-free Google. Ask it questions, or allocate it tasks – Google Home will be there at your beck and call, and having one could make your life just that much easier.

To enter this competition:

  1. Sign up to Yes Crowd or log in if you already have an account.
  2. Leave a comment below telling us in 25 words or less if you were to invent a piece of tech that would make your life easier, what would it be and why?
  3. For extra consideration, get a friend who is also an Optus customer to join Yes Crowd, @ tag their username in the comments and invent a piece of technology you could both use.
GH.PNG

Once the competition closes we will judge all entries, and the person with the entry we deem to be the most entertaining will win the Google Home device.

The Yes Crowd 300K Yes Crowders competition runs from 06/08/18 at 3:00 pm AEST and you must be an Optus Customer to enter.

Not signed up to Yes Crowd yet? The good news is that Yes Crowd and My Account are linked. So, if you already have a My Account login, you don’t need to register, just use your existing My Account credentials to log in to Yes Crowd here.

I'd invent a device to help me get ready in the mornings, punctuality is not one of my strong suits Smiley Tongue

(I'd really love a Google Home haha!!)

Haha I love it @Ellie94, thanks so much for entering!

I know how you feel, I've wanted a Google Home for ages Smiley LOL My friend has one and they're so good!!

RetiredModerator Felicity_YC

Good one @Ellie94! I'm sure lots of us would buy one of those. I'm thinking something like a cross between an automatic coffee maker and an outfit picker.

I reckon I would invent a device / robot that would automatically fold my clean clothes and put them away nice and neatly in their respective places *boom* haha.

Crowd Champion SillyGogo

@JodestaaMy wife already invented that robot, iMe.

How about a glove that can harness the power of 5 gem stones that will let you control the multiverse?

Haha! Well as long as you're not being greedy. Surely ten years isn't asking for too much.

Attn all the Yes Crowd team.

You certainly can't win the prize but it would be interesting and, hopefully, fun for you to post what device you would like to invent to make your life easier and why.

So lots of posts and you may earn a few Kudos.

I would invent a device that would help me find everyday objects like my car keys or wallet.

Crowd Champion SillyGogo
Crowd Champion

@ajakobi

That is a brilliant idea, the only thing is I can't remember where I've left the "everyday object locator" device.

Might need a device to located the "everyday object locator" device.

Crowd Champion Davelew
Crowd Champion

I am a little disappointed with you @SillyGogo and your wife.   She invented a robot, maaried him, but didn't implant Google Assistant in your head to find lost objects.

At least when my wife invented me there were no personal computers so it was Gardener, Maintainance Man, Washer Up(at least 5 days per week) and General Dog's Body.

My ineligible entry is:

A smart daycare front door, that detects contagious sick kids and refuses them entry until they're better so other kids don't get sick and hospitalised.

The advanced model would also include an arm that extends and slaps the parent who attempts to bring their sick kid in.
