From 27 February, you’ll be able to tailor your Yes TV by Fetch Channel Pack subscriptions based on the content you and your family or friends like to watch.

 

There’s a huge range of content for you to choose from, all neatly bundled up in five exciting new Channel Packs: Kids, Knowledge, Vibe and Variety for just $6 each per month or the combination of all four in the Ultimate Pack for $20 per month.

 

Kids - $6/month

Filled with characters they’ll love and stories that’ll ignite their curiosity, enjoy kid-friendly favourites including CBeebies, Nickelodeon and Disney Junior, plus loads more.

 

Knowledge - $6/month

 

The Knowledge pack brings you the most compelling documentaries, the best lifestyle content across home, travel and food plus the latest news from around the globe. Access BBC World News, National Geographic, The Food Channel and more.

 

Vibe - $6/month

 

Filled with music, sport, comedy, reality TV and fashion, Vibe is the pack for the latest games, shows, songs, looks and laugh from top channels including MTV, eGG and ESPN.

 

Variety - $6/month

Please note:

 

On 27 Feb, the new Premium Channel Packs can only be subscribed to via your Yes TV by Fetch Gen 2, Yes TV by Fetch Mighty or Yes TV by Fetch Mini set-top box. Please head to Menu > Manage > Subscriptions to subscribe. Once you subscribe to any of the new Premium Channel Packs or the Ultimate Pack, you won’t be able to resubscribe to the Entertainment Pack.

Does not look any different  -  still the same selection  of Channels    - if they want to fix the service  they should not continually advertise  Foxtel programs and Channels  that we can't receivie .    in my opinion  Fetch  is owned by Foxtel  if not they don't give a stuff about Fetch customers. 

 

They could  give us a better balance of New Channels  so we can get the Truth  - They should add  RT  & Press TV.

 

But then Having Fetch TV with the present state of the NBN  is a pain  as you often get the message  before it drops out  Spooling problem check your internet. 

Then  if you want a movie you have to choose the day before as they take 3 to 7 hours to download 

In busy times (including the whole weekend )can not watch You Tube

So does this mean I will end up paying $5 per month more if I get the ultimate pack, because I get a $15 credit for FetchTv on my bill? It was one of the features of the deal I signed up for.

Many of these channels were included in the standard Fetch. We also added the entertainment pack. Recently MTV Classic was deleted and replaced with a comedy channel.  Now I see it is back but as part of a new pack for $6 per month which contains channels I already have. So $6 basically would only get me Classic and 2 other channels I have never heard of. Is Optus quietly re jigging the Fetch service? And without doing anything to fix the missing youtube issue that has been outstanding more than a year.

Hey Wallet72@ If you're currently subscribed to the entertainment pack you will not be forced to change over to these new channel packs, you will be able to continue to use existing pack as you are. If you would like to change to the new channel packs you will not be able to subscribe back to the old entertainment pack. When changing you will receive a pop up if you unsubscribe from the Entertainment Pack that they will no longer be able to resubscribe. If you do decide to change over and your plan includes the free entertainment pack you will still receive a $15 credit for the ultimate pack, meaning you would need to pay an extra $5 per month.

Hey @Khun_Tilt. Fetch TV control the content and structure of channel packs. If you want to keep your existing entertainment pack you can, just avoid subscribing to any of the new packs as it will automatically convert you over and cannot change back. You should definitely have the YouTube app on your Fetch. Can you please check what firmware version you have via  Menu > Manage > Settings > Device Info, it should be 3.7.6853. Let me know how you go.

Casey it seems your comment is not entirely accurate. The entertainment pack is supposed include MTV Classic. It is listed on the Optus website as included. There are 41 channels listed in the entertainment pack. I get 40 of them but MTV Classic has been removed and placed into a variety pack that I can get for an extra $6 per month. To remove a channel from a pack a customer is already paying for is cheeky enough but the new variety pack contains channels that are still included in the current entertainment pack; so, I would be paying again for channels I am already reveiving and paying for. Technical support in India simply say Fetch has changed the packs. Sorry, not acceptable. Fetch can offer new packs to new customers and existing customers can CHOSE to move across as you say, but your comment that I can simply keep the existing pack and it will bubble along as normal is not true.

Casey, I have checked the firmware it is 3.7.6853, but I do NOT have YouTube. The apps I have are Netflix, Stan, 7 Tennis, NASA TV, Fetch Wiki and Weather.

Best to keep all responses to the one thread → here to avoid double handling. The old Entertainment pack included MTV, MTV Music and MTV Dance and as of the 01/03, MTV Classic was a new channel added. So in total as of 01/03 we have 4 MTV channels for which, the new channel can only be added within the new packs.

I would like the ultimate pack but it wouldnt let me subscribe? Actually I can't get any channels other than free to air even though I'm subscribed to the entertainment pack through my account. Keeps saying not yet connected, been like this for 2 weeks now??

Hi @Casey, I read the above comments you made about only paying $5.00 extra for the ultimate pack if you already have the entertainment pack included with your optus plan.  Ive just joined up to the $110 entertainment plan but pay 90 because i have 2 mobile sims linked to the account.    http://www.optus.com.au/shop/broadband/home-broadband/plans?category=EntertainmentPlan&defaultButton...

 

I was told on the phone by a representative that i would have to pay the full $20 on top. She didn't seam sure though.  Is this correct?

 

I would like to get the Ultimate but not payiing a full $20 for it.
