Well - it seems you'll be lucky to receive your Gear VR headset. I'm still waiting for mine after 2 months of waiting for it. The delivery promise was 4 weeks after I received my handset - which was the 12th March. I'm still waiting. I hate it when Optus puts up promotions like these they fail to honor.

I didn't receive mine either and followed it up today after waiting the two months that they said it would take. It turns out that they apparently sent me an email in May to say that the photo was unclear of the IMEI number so that they actually had no proof of purchase and could I send another photo through. I do not recall receiving this email but either way it is too late and I am no longer eligible to receive the VR Headset. I am extremely disappointed as that was the main reason for going for the Samsung 7edge. Smiley Sad

I guess I should feel lucky. I just received mine last Friday. (August 12). I submitted my claim on the 3rd of June and received a similar email to TigerKraw's saying the photo of the proof of purchase was not clear enough on the 15th. I resubmitted a claim on the 15th of June and didn't hear from them until last week. But yeah, at least it arrived.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I have been waiting for mine since the 31/03/16. It is now the 04/10/2016. 

 

I upgraded my phone to the new Samsung s7 and received a card in the box to say that I would be receiving a VR sent straight to me. 

 

A couple of months ago I reached out to optus and spoke to someone on chat. After transferring me 4 times to the right agent they said that my VR was on it's way and will be with me shortly - still nothing.....

 

A big thumbs down for the service I've received, especially after being a loyal customer of nearly 15 years.
