When a new Android Operating System update is announced by Google there are a few steps that take place before it becomes ready for your device.  The manufacturer receives the update and customises the software for the device and mobile carriers in each country.  Once this is completed they’ll send the update to the carriers for testing.

For more info on this process check out our page:

Android Device Updates - What's The Process?

The below table provides information on the latest Android updates we’ve received for testing and approval as of 29/03/2017. If no information is listed, it means we haven't received the build or any new details from the manufacturer.

When a version is marked as completed it means testing has been finished on our end and approved.  Each manufacturer has a process for releasing updates to devices and once we approve the update, it’s sent back to the manufacturer to be released through their standard update processes. Generally, updates are rolled out progressively, for example the manufacturers might make the update available for a small number of users (i.e. 5%) initially; then if no unforeseen problems pop up, it’ll gradually be made available to more and more users over the following weeks.

Hi @PDT, as per our updates your handset should now have Android 7.0. There are no other security or software upgrades available. You can follow up on the details here → https://yescrowd.optus.com.au/t5/Blog/Android-Software-Updates-14-03-2017/ba-p/202941.

OK so we are all waiting, the z5 premium update, has been out for well over a month, if not more. Optus still haven''t tested and released..... Surely if Nougat has been tested by OPTUS and SONY has released this worldwide it should not take this long.

@rayyyyyand @Jack_gecko I think we've been abandoned for sony updates. Smiley Sad
I asked Sony Mobile AU on FB and they confirmed the update was on its way to optus for testing, 3 weeks ago. Maybe its been lost at sea!

Any updates expected for mate 9?? I can see some bugs when Google voice enabled and using apps like whatsapp.....There is a Google voice recording error always seen and also voice over the mic degrades to hearer. This issue was fixed by some update in the international market where mate 9 operates....Does Optus know of this issue? Any plans on updates?

Hey Guys - this is the best place to check back for when updates come to hand but leave it with me and I'll see if we have any info on the Sony and M9 updates. @vnandi - have you had a chance to chat with our tech team about the issues your referring to with the error?

I don't know why people get so annoyed about this.  Believe me, Nougat is TERRIBLE compared to Marshmallow.
