When a new Android Operating System update is announced by Google there are a few steps that take place before it becomes ready for your device.  The manufacturer receives the update and customises the software for the device and mobile carriers in each country.  Once this is completed they’ll send the update to the carriers for testing.

For more info on this process check out our page:

Android Device Updates - What's The Process?

The below table provides information on the latest Android updates we’ve received for testing and approval as of 14/03/2017. If no information is listed, it means we haven't received the build or any new details from the manufacturer.

When a version is marked as completed it means testing has been finished on our end and approved.  Each manufacturer has a process for releasing updates to devices and once we approve the update, it’s sent back to the manufacturer to be released through their standard update processes. Generally, updates are rolled out progressively, for example the manufacturers might make the update available for a small number of users (i.e. 5%) initially; then if no unforeseen problems pop up, it’ll gradually be made available to more and more users over the following weeks.

Hi dannythehumble Should have got the update by now though I had problems updating as well after the ims fiasco. Have you tried updating through smart switch it helped me and yes I do have a blue notification light. Samsung was also helpful with all the problems I had after the ims error. Sam mobile has most firmwares but you will void your warranty if you go that rout. samsung may need to repair your phone. wish I could help more as I know what your dealing with.

Hi dannythehumble it took me a few times with smart switch so don't give up and I also had to turn off volte before it finally worked. like you one of my notification toggles was missing I didn't have secure folder but when I finally got the 33mb update everything was fine and working well but as I said could only do it with smart switch. sam mobile does have the Australian optus firmwear and instructions but you will void your warranty.

Dannythehumble Hi again build no is G935FXXU1DQBH I don't why it voids your warranty but that's what samsung told me I had to have my phone put in to their repair center to be flashed after the ims problem. My phone is an unlocked edge if that helps. You could ask optus if this would hurt your warranty in anywayif you flash the official optus firmware. https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G935F/

@Kab63So how do i do it with smartswitch? You say you try it several times, does that mean that you it always state your device is up to date?
