When a new Android Operating System update is announced by Google there are a few steps that take place before it becomes ready for your device. The manufacturer receives the update and customises the software for the device and mobile carriers in each country. Once this is completed they’ll send the update to the carriers for testing.

For more info on this process check out our page:

Android Device Updates - What's The Process?

The below table provides information on the latest Android updates we’ve received for testing and approval as of the 02/10/2018. If no information is listed, it means we haven't received the build or any new details from the manufacturer.

When a version is marked as completed it means testing has been finished on our end and approved.  Each manufacturer has a process for releasing updates to devices and once we approve the update, it’s sent back to the manufacturer to be released through their standard update processes. Generally, updates are rolled out progressively, for example the manufacturers might make the update available for a small number of users (i.e. 5%) initially; then if no unforeseen problems pop up, it’ll gradually be made available to more and more users over the following weeks.

Thanks @Dan_C,

Any chance you can push Huawei to release the mate 10 Pro update?

All good Smiley Happy

Are we talking the recent Android Pie + EMUI 9.0 update for the Mate 10?

A couple of articles out there suggest that Huawei has restricted the update to European users.

Looks like we might have GPU Turbo 2.0 on the horizon (included in the EMUI update).

Well, I've switched back over to Apple. (iPhone 7 Plus) It really sucks that I can't return my Huawei Mate 10 pro. It's only 3 months old so they want me to pay $945 to get out of my contract! Will have to sell it and try to make up the money.

@Dan_C

How long does it take to get the S7 and S7 Edge in the list updated to 8.0?

It has said 7.0 for months now, even though Optus updated them to 8.0.

Many people, including myself have commented on this over a number of blogs, including the previous one.

If people are looking to see what is the current version it is very outdated.

Great! Note8 & Note9 👍

What do you mean "Optus EVS"?!

Is there any update for Galaxy Tab S4? 😊

Thanks.

Eek @KimxK you're right. I've just updated that.

@Jamallandit, are you referring to the Android 9 update? No word on this one yet.

EVS is a codec. It stands for enhanced voice services.

@Dan_C are you suggesting that the EMUI 8.1 update will be skipped in favour of 9.0 or is there a chance we'll see 8.1? Does Huawei communicate general release timeframes by region for EMUI updates? Given Australia is a small market, it wouldn't be unrealistic to think we'll get 9.0 last unless the BLA-L09 and BLA-L29 versions here are identical with the EU versions (supposedly also BLA-L09 and BLA-L29).

Cheers
