Don't like cricket. The ball is too hard and hurts too badly.

We played in the middle of our street so whoever is in bat needs to weelie the bin out the way when cars come by. and over the fence was 6 and OUT!

Always try to hit the ball over the fence and hopefully hit the noisy, annoying, barking dog next door.

I play Cricket with my 4 year daughter in backyard and she always wants to bat first saying "throw me easy ball papa so that i can hit six" and most of the times ball goes to our neighbours backyard and the rule is if it goes there she has to get it 🙂

Council bins instead of stumps. None of us can bowl, so the bins are easier to hit. Even then, most times we still miss.

In our cricket game there is no such thing as a "golden duck" or "duck."  It's like life. You get a second chance! Thanks Optus!

The backyard cricket rule we have is the back leg has to be grounded at all time or else the short is not considered valid also one handed catch only, over the fence is out (the one who hits gets the ball) only ground shorts.

There is no system of LBW in the backyard cricket. But if the ball touches your body three times you will be given out.

If it crosses the boundary wall and out on the road directly, its out. Underarm bowling. Catching on one bounce is out too provided it's via one hand only. No running runs till the ball crosses the bowler.

If the dog gets hold of the ball it is the bowler’s responsibility to clean off the slobber.

You can catch the batter out normally or off one bounce off anything one handed. One bounce off the ground, garage wall, fence etc -

If the ball goes into our large headge and doesn't hit the ground, you're out caught, if it hits the fence, it's six!

One hand, one bounce, allowing for snag sandwich/beer holding in the other hand. Truly tackling the important aspects of the game!

If you hit the car it’s minus 100 runs, bit unfair but nobody hit the car again.

The dog is a legitimate fielder: Caught by the dog is out; but the dog doesn’t get to bat haha
