Whoever hts the ball over the fence must be the one to retrieve the ball and ask for it in an accent!

Don't like cricket. The ball is too hard and hurts too badly.

Always try to hit the ball over the fence and hopefully hit the noisy, annoying, barking dog next door.

I play Cricket with my 4 year daughter in backyard and she always wants to bat first saying "throw me easy ball papa so that i can hit six" and most of the times ball goes to our neighbours backyard and the rule is if it goes there she has to get it Smiley Happy

Council bins instead of stumps. None of us can bowl, so the bins are easier to hit. Even then, most times we still miss.

The backyard cricket rule we have is the back leg has to be grounded at all time or else the short is not considered valid also one handed catch only, over the fence is out (the one who hits gets the ball) only ground shorts.

There is no system of LBW in the backyard cricket. But if the ball touches your body three times you will be given out.

If it crosses the boundary wall and out on the road directly, its out. Underarm bowling. Catching on one bounce is out too provided it's via one hand only. No running runs till the ball crosses the bowler.
