Why have I been charged $2.20 for account charges?

Why am I being charged $2.20 for account charges when I signed up for a $70/month package

Because you are charged this if you dont setup direct debit.

From the plans page and CIS document:
Non-direct debit fee:A $2.20 fee will be charged each month if you choose not to pay your bill by direct debit. To set-up direct debit go to optus.com.au/myaccount Exception: For payments made by credit, debit, charge or prepaid cards, the non-direct debit fee will not apply, but payment processing fees may apply

If you pay via bpay from savings there should be no fee as banks dont charge pay via austpost i know there is a charge they want make it cashless as optus store will not let you pay bills. ,just a rip off as mobile bills dont acure this fee
