Why does Optus not have sufficient assistants

I have been trying to use the 24/7 Optus chat for over a week. And whether it is 5am or 10pm the message saying they are too busy which I find very hard to believe

Hey @Wsigley - there are hundreds of live chat members at any given time, however they can get a little busy. Is there anything in particular you need a hand with?

They usually answer within a few minutes, or even instantly. There can be things in your browser or connection that stop it. You could try going to a sales page and waiting for one of the annoying chats to pop up. They wont be the correct team, but they can move you.

 

Apparently, the javascript in the web page is remarkably fussy.
