New service


I was declined a new service but my credit file is fine I do have an overdue bill would that be the reason I was declined.

Unfortunately no one can say why your request was declined. Even OPtus service staff only see the result, never a reason.


A late bill is unlikely to be an issue but it suggests you might have a history of late bills? When you say your credit file is fine what do you mean? What score is it?


Do you have a few years of credit history under your belt or are you just starting out?


You'll need to wait a few months before applying at Optus again. This decline will be added to your credit history.
