Mobile bill says paid via direct debit but hasn't been deducted from bank account?
So my Optus bill was due to be direct debited out of my account today, and I have the full amount plus a little extra sitting in my account for it. I checked my account earlier today and saw the full amount was still there, yet when I checked the Optus app and online, it said that the bill had been paid. I'm not really sure why it's doing this since I've used the exact details to pay for previous bills. I don't want to end up being charged later on for a late fee or anything.

That's a bit weird and I am thinking possibly a delay on reporting with your financial institution may be the culprit? I would take a snapshot of your account saying it's paid just in case there are any issues further down the track.
