Is this a scam?

I received a text message from <removed>

It said:

Your account is overdue $12.01. To avoid service interruptions, proceed to:<removed bad link>

Is this a scam link?
I sent the question to an employee & they didn't seem to understand what I was asking....

Can someone else help please?

100% a scam.

Is that your phone number in the link? If so you should remove it.

Also forward that mail to [ abuse @ optusnet.com.au ].

General rule. Any (all) SMS or email demanding payment (with links) or updating your details (with links) is a scam. If you're ever concerned just log in to your account and see what the bill is.
