iMessage stopping message receiving

I have just set up a new iPhone but I can’t get iMessage to work. This is causing problems receiving some messages. When I turn iMessage on it ask me to log into my Apple account but when it comes to logging in it searches and fails. Has this happened to anyone else? Not sure who to contact Apple or Optus? I have turned it if and in and also tried over both Wifi and the Optus network.

Please help!!

As far as Optus and iMessage goes - Optus only provide the internet connection - everything else is all done by Apple servers.

 

If you have itnernet on the device and still cant locate your apple account - have you tried to log into your apple account on their website?

You may have the incorrect login etc - perhaps a password reset?

 

You may need to remove your previous phone from imessage: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/
