Not sure if this has already been said, but after being rudely awoken twice by these ridiculous text messages I went in search on how to stop them. I have only just done it so I am not sure if it is going to work.
Supposedly someone tried one of the links and it is linked to google. They removed their mobile number from their google account and it seemed to work for them. As far as a thread on the Telstra forum said anyways.
I have tried it, we will see how it goes. Next I think I will be removing my mobile off all social media.

Well so far so good. By now I should have 3 texts. But not one since removing my mobile number off google. Guess tonight & tomorrow will be the test.

So update from the 24th Feb 2019.
Removed mobile number from hotmail (google) account & Facebook. Received 1 message probably about a week later. Haven’t had 1 since. It is fantastic being Christina Morrow free for over a month. Unless Optus found a magical way of blocking it!

Pesky Russians at it again. We are experencing a targeted cyber attack.
Given we have an election called it's Optus's responsibility to ensure that this does not occor.
