Well clearly I didn't know all of the information , thanks for getting me up to speed
Seems like handing it back and starting from 'scratch' might be the best option
Thanks again for the info
I'm sorry, but I've mispoken. Optus released some information which I interpreted as them shutting down the leasing plan in two months. It seems I was wrong. I think the the original 24 month period of the lease plans is still in effect. That means cancelling before that time is up would incur fees. Buying the phone outright (at Optus' price) at the 12 month period might be an option to end the contract early but you'd need to ask Optus that.
So in your case @daniilj44 you're probably back to the upgrade / preorder situation you asked about - at 12 months you can trade in the phone and recontract for 24 months on a new non lease plan (as you know). FWIW I don't see why you can't take this pre-order and the new plan (after all that's exactly what optus what you to do - sign up to a 24 month contract with a brand new phone.
Good luck and sorry again for raising your hopes.
5 failed orders so far, no one i know has been able to order online.
Currently 43 mins since pre order went live.
Very bad impression.
Order finally went through, that was crazy
You need to give Optus Online sales a call - 1300929949
I had to do this for them to progress the order - most likely need info for a credit check.
@Paddylee you clearly failed to read the thread on the Note10+ 5G, or you choos to ignore the issues raised there.
Not every customer ordered via the website, and therefore was not aware of the listed ship date.
To make matters worse, customers who ordered via live chat or over the phone were told many different things relating to the ship date, such as the 5G would ship the same day as the regular note10+ or being told that no carrier or retailer was shipping the 5G variant until September 20.
And as it currently stands, likely due to the iPhone launch, we have now been told not to expect our phones for another 5-7 business days.
