I cracked my screen, sent it in for a fix under the insurance. I was given a reconditioned new phone. Great?
No, the phone is a piece of sh*t. Now apps, crash battery doesn’t last anywhere near as long simple app to app links don’t work.
What do I do?
That's a tricky one.
Legally you're entitled to get it fixed / replaced.
In practice, if your phone is turning on and making calls and surfing the net OK then it starts being a grey area (i.e. not as simple as pointing to a cracked screen). This is where hopefully Optus plays nice up front. Without getting too specific I'd detail what is wrong (instability, craching, low battery life) and request the phone be replaced. There are further option if the insurance company refuses (technically your insurance isn't with Optus but a third party)
