How can i enable voice over lte on my Samsung Galaxy s9+

Or have to wait for activation

I have that phone to. As it's only just launched, I imagine Optus is still intergrating support for VoLTE on their network for the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

@anmoldeep, @TazzieTee is on the right track.

 

VoLTE hasn't yet been enabled on the Samsung GS9 range of handsets., I don't have an ETA, but keep an eye on our Android blog for updates https://yescrowd.optus.com.au/t5/Blog/Android-Software-Updates-09-03-2018/ba-p/398320.

So how come i have 2 s9 plus phones and one sim shows Volte active and the other does not? On the one it is active on the settings are exactly the same as the other handset

So, if you go into connections>mobile networks, can you toggle VoLTE on/off?

There might be a chance VoLTE was enabled on your sim card when it was in another phone?

That would totally explain it... the one it shows on is an old sim and the one it doesn't is a new sim but it does mean that it is actually active on the S9 plus so whoever wrote that isn't is wrong I can't see why they won't do it for the new SIM if it worked for the old SIM

Requires Optus to distribute a software update to enable VoLTE in the mobile settings to then activate it on the sim card.

So in theory i could put the new sim in my note 8, enable volte and put it back in the other phone.. perfect workaround!
