Hi,
New member - so please forgive the ignorance.
Purchased a Samsung Note 8 from Optus via a post-paid plan last year. Noted that the phone had dual SIM capability.
Travelled overseas and decided to utilise the dual SIM functionality.
Found that it has been disabled by Optus - does anyone know how this can be fixed (through Optus)?
Solved! Solved: Go to Solution.
The Note 8 from Optus is single sim only.
I got mine as preorder and its definately nano sim x1 and then micro sd x1.
SM-N950F is the model from optus with single sim
SM-N950FD Is the dual sim model.
I have seen no documentation from Optus that their Note 8 was dual sim, do you have any?
Just cross-checked the model number - and you are correct. Single SIM option only.
Although chat with an Optus rep indicated that through eSIM functionality (yet to be launched) - it might be possible to have a dual SIM functionality. Unsure how this translates into something but something to mull about?
Frustrated - thought dual SIM would be the standard for phones now.
Thanks for the heads up!
Very few dual sims sold by telcos.
Huawei p30 from Optus is dual nano sim.
Iphone xs has esim + nano sim - and Optus supports it.
