Good morning. We received an overdue email this morning for my partner's mobile phone, but I set up direct debits for all our phone accounts on 31 December 2018. Do I pay this manually or will it be done as a direct debit?
Suggest you just put in the amount manually. Direct Debit only kicks in after any credit has been used up on your account. So if you some reason you overpay then next month that amount will be used first and then DD only does any extra if needed.
Check either Optus LIVECHAT, MY ACCOUNT or your bank to confirm your DD is set up on the second mobile properly. It should also appear on your next bill stating the amount will be deducted via DD on Date X.
