Missed call messages cut off

For some reason when I get a "missed call" mms and audio recording, it will only let me listen to the first 10 seconds. Have tried everything, but can't seem to figure it out.

Any help Appreciated 🙂

Hi there Cindykc,


Hmm, it's not clear whether you have Missed Call Service or Voice to MMS active on your service.

Either way you should be able to hear messages left longer than 10 seconds in duration.

Is it happening for just the one caller or multiple?

What happens after 10 seconds? It just hangs up?


Ultimately you'll need to contact Optus technical support. They may just need to re-provision/tweak whatever missed call feature you're using.

It's every caller. I also don't know why I lost my traditional voicemail for this service. If its such a pain, I'd just prefer to delete it all and go back to voicemail. Optus service onluney says they have maintenance until Friday!! In the meantime I can't hear my messages... Very frustrating

Text "OFF" to 159 to turn off Missed Call Service


Once deactivated, dial free call 1509 and follow the prompts to turn Voicemail back on.

That was the first thing I tried. Both calls and texts to 159 do not work. Tried both several times.

Okay something does sound off with your service then, you will need to contact Optus directly to get to the bottom of it.
