This is what Huawei online chat said today.
Thanks for waiting, Darren! We would like to first apologise to you as there is no Beta-User registration program for the upcoming updates for our Mate 20 Pro model for the moment and instead would encourage you to stay tuned for the next batch update of 220.127.116.11 as Optus is currently testing on their Software Development team's end for releasing
Apparently the update is on hold waiting DBU. Whatever that is, and God knows why nobody is chasing it up so it can be rolled out.
Above is 18.104.22.168 LYA L09 Single Sim Variant.
Place in HuaweiSystem Folder to update. Not sure if this works?
Thanks Voltron, I'll ring the TIO and make a complaint on monday.
So is this update from an XDA post Dazkatmaka11? it'd be real nice if it removed the optus branding and we started getting international updates
The download is super slow, will update when its finished.
This community is one of the most petty and moronic bunch of salty trolls ever. If you wanted timely updates should have just bought the phone outright. 22.214.171.124 Only just dropped. Mate 20 pro is on android 9 whilst other bigger names are still kicking around on 8 and ur bitching. And if you’re gonna post links to firmware downloads at least have the knowledge to tell others how to flash it or how to do it yourself before posting LMAO
The information is as per the XDA Forum, someone who had successfully put it in HuaweiSystem Folder and ran the system update and updated his phone. As per the instructions.
You are the troll, don't have anything constructive to post.. then don't post.
And the update has nothing to do with the android version, it has everything to do with bug fixes for fingerprint reader, face detection and camera fixes as well as other updates and security patches.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro 126.96.36.199 is now starting to make its way to people, the latest December security updates and minor fixes.
And here we are 2 months behind everyone else.
Move ya arses Optus.
New updates rolling out 188.8.131.52
What are you doing optus seems we are falling behind dramatically. @Optus
