New phone

I want to get a new phone on a plan but I don't want a sim plan with it, is this possible?

Re: New phone

Hi @THeming,

Thanks for reaching out to us here.

You can choose your ideal phone on a payment plan, however, you'll need to add a no lock-in contract month to month payment plan that suits your needs.

Re: New phone

Unfortunately not through Optus. You can now cancel a plan any time without penalty (a great feature) but if you have a phone attached then you suddenly owe 100% of anything outstanding.

If you want an iPhone or Samsung you can get them on a 24 month interest free plan direct from their site. iPhone charge an extra $5 a month while you have an outstanding balance. Samsung charge $100 a year fee.

Best option would be to get a phone and pay it off in under a year and cancel the card.

Something like gomo or boost 12 month Sim could save you a lot.
