Will I lose my music library?

You may have noticed a message suggesting that you will lose your music library if you cancel your subscription with Apple. Don’t worry, this isn’t accurate – all your music will be saved and accessible through your Apple Music with Optus subscription when you sign in with the same Apple ID.

By cancelling your Apple Music subscription with Apple, you will be able to take advantage of the free trial period with Optus.* You will see charges, and any free trial credits you are eligible for, for Apple Music on your Optus bill.

Participating Companies: Optus, Samsung, Bumble

Promotion Period: Start 8^th March 2019 at 10am AEDT and ends 24^th March 2019 6pm AEDT.

Eligible Participants: Open to all people. If participant is under the age of 16 years, they must have parental or guardian permission to participate.

How to participate: To participate, a person must attend a Participating Centre location (listed below) where the ‘Take Charge of Social you’ experiential pop up is located, when available. In order to participate they must complete a quick data capture form (i.e. entrant must provide their full name, date of birth, gender and phone number) & tick a terms and conditions box which acknowledges that they are willing to participate in the activation before having their photo taken. This will also acknowledge that the photo will be sent to the participant via SMS.

The photo opportunity is only available to participants for the set times and days advertised at the Participating Centre, during the Promotional Period. Optus, Samsung and Bumble are not liable for any compensation to participants should they not be able to have a photo taken within the set times.

17^th March 2019, 10am -5pm

The entrant agrees and acknowledges that they have read these Conditions of Entry and that by ticking the terms and conditions box it is deemed to be their acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. The campaign commences on 8^th March 2019 at 10am AEDT and ends on 24^th March 2019 6pm AEDT ("Promotional Period").

Activation of Fetch service

If you have received a Fetch set top box (either Mighty or Mini) but you have not activated it, your activation code may have expired.

Please contact Optus on 1300 72 00 84 to request a new activation code.
Please note that if you have a Generation 2 Fetch set top box (it does not have WiFi), you will no longer be able to activate this device. Contact us and we will send you a new set top box.

Channel Pack Changes

You may have had additional channel packs that are not part of your Fetch and/or Optus Broadband plan inclusions.

If this is the case, we have sent you information advising that we will change the channel packs you receive to the packs that are either included in your plan or that you are paying for. If you have any specific queries regarding your Fetch service or your channel pack subscriptions, please call our dedicated TV team on 1300 72 00 84.

Below is a breakdown of the current charges of our Fetch Channels & Channel Packs (as of 25 February 2019)

Cancellation of Fetch services

We had an issue with our billing system which meant some customers were able to access Fetch but weren’t charged for the service. We have now resolved this issue. This means that any Fetch services which aren’t connected to an active postpaid mobile or broadband service will no longer work as our contract terms for Fetch require it to be connected to an active postpaid mobile or broadband service. This means:Your Fetch service will be disconnected. You don’t need to do anything. Please dispose of any Fetch set top box responsibly.

If you want to use the Fetch service with Optus, please contact Optus on 1300 72 00 84 to discuss available options.

Extra Charges for Fetch Set Top Boxes and/or content

You may have been able to access content using your Fetch device which has not been billed to your Optus account, such as TV Store, Movie Store & Pay Per View purchases or rentals, or additional channel packs. Any future purchase, rentals or additional channel packs will appear on your Optus bill.

Any previous purchases will remain available for you to view, and we will not backdate any of these content charges.

You may not have been charged for any additional Fetch set top boxes. We have now resolved this issue, so charges for additional Fetch boxes will start to appear on your account.

If you no longer want your Fetch TV service or any additional Fetch set top boxes then please contact us on 1300 72 00 84 to cancel. You don’t need to return the Fetch set top box to us, but please dispose of it thoughtfully (i.e. the way you would dispose of other electrical goods).

When are disruptions likely to occur?

It’s possible that disruptions may occur during the maintenance period and every effort will be made to minimise these disruptions.. The duration of the interruption will vary dependent on the complexity of the work to be completed. Optus will continue to monitor your service and update you when NBN Co advise the outage has begun and upon its completion.

Whilst every endeavour will be made to complete the planned works during the advised outage period, there may be circumstances where the work is extended.

What options do I have for the meantime?

In the meantime, here are some ways you can stay connected during the outage:

Optus Internet Assistance Kit (MSD KIT):

This device comes pre-loaded with data for you to use at home. You can request an Internet assistance kit from one of our experts by messaging us via the My Optus app.

What is online billing?

Each time a bill is issued, you will receive an email or SMS to let you know that your bill is ready.

If you have set up email billing you will receive a copy of the bill as an attachment.

If you choose to receive your bills via SMS, there will be a link to My Account to view your bill.

Where else can I view my bill?

You can view your bills in My Account or in My Optus app in the billing sections.

If online billing does not work for me, what are my options? Are there any associated costs?

You can change your bill delivery method at any time in My Account > Bills > Billing options. To switch between email and SMS there will be no cost.

If you choose to switch back to paper billing, there will be a cost of $2.20 per bill.

Which email address or mobile number will my online bill be sent to?

You can view and change the email address or phone number for your bill in My Account > Bills. It is important to always keep your information updated, click here to access My Account.

What if I don’t receive my email bill?

Once you have selected email billing, to ensure you can easily access your bill, add myaccount@optus.com.au to your address book.

If you haven’t done so, you might find your bill in your junk folder.

Please check your contact details in My Account to ensure all your details are up to date.

I’ve registered my Expression of Interest for 5G Home Broadband, what are the next steps?

Here’s what happens next:

1. We will check to see if your address is 5G serviceable.

2. If 5G is serviceable at your address, we will notify you and you will be invited to place an order for 5G Home Broadband online.

3. If 5G is not serviceable at your address, we will keep your contact details and notify you if 5G Home Broadband becomes serviceable at your address.

4. 5G devices will be available from mid-2019.

5. The 5G Home Broadband plan includes the following:

Price	$70/mth , min cost for 24-mths $1680 (Includes 5G modem)
Data	Unlimited
Contract	24-Months or Month-to-Month
Speed	50mbps Satisfaction Guarantee* If at any time you are not satisfied that you are getting download speeds of at least 50Mbps, simply get in touch and we will let you cancel your contract without cancellation fees when you return your 5G device to us.

Terms and conditions*

New services on 5G Home Broadband 24-month or month-to-month contract only. Return the Optus 5G device in good working order within 30 days. The 50Mbps Satisfaction Guarantee does not affect your Australian Consumer Law rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
